ORDER OF TEST CRICKET
1 Australia played its 1st match on 15th
March 1877.
2 England played its 1st match on 15th
March 1877. Team consist of players from England and wales.
3 South Africa played its 1st match on 12th March 1889. It did not participate in international cricket between 10th March 1970 and 10th November 1991. This was due to a decision by the international cricket council in 1970 to suspend South Africa, in response to to the then South African government’s policy of apartheid.
4 West Indies played its first match on 23 JUNE 1928. Its team consists from a number of Caribbean nations and dependencies.
5 New Zealand played its first match on 10 January on 1930.
6 India played its first match on 25 JUNE 1932 before partition of India in 1947, included territory that now from Pakistan and Bangladesh.
7 Pakistan played its first match on 16 October 1952.
8 SRI LANKA played its first match on 17 February 1982.
9 Zimbabwe played its first match on 18 October 1992. Suspended from involvement in test cricket between 10th June 2004 and 6th January 2005, and indefinitely since 18th January 2006. Test status to be restored by May 2011.
10 Bangladesh played its 1st match on 10th November 2000.
