ORDER OF TEST CRICKET

 

1     Australia played its 1^st match on 15^th March 1877.

2    England played its 1^st match on 15^th March 1877. Team   consist of players from England and wales.

3   South Africa played its 1^st match on 12^th March 1889. It did not participate in international cricket between 10^th March 1970 and 10^th November 1991. This was due to a decision by the international cricket council in 1970 to suspend South Africa, in response to to the then South African government’s policy of apartheid. 

4     West Indies played its first match on 23 JUNE 1928. Its     team   consists   from a number of Caribbean nations and     dependencies.

5       New Zealand played its first match on 10 January on 1930.

6      India played its first match on 25 JUNE 1932 before partition of India in 1947, included territory that now from Pakistan and Bangladesh.

7       Pakistan played its first match on 16 October 1952.

8       SRI LANKA played its first match on 17 February 1982.

9   Zimbabwe played its first match on 18 October 1992.  Suspended from involvement in test cricket between 10^th June 2004 and 6^th January 2005, and indefinitely since 18^th January 2006. Test status to be restored by May 2011.

    10    Bangladesh played its 1^st match on 10^th November 2000.
